Follow These 7 Contact Center-Related Twitter Feeds
I love Twitter. It took me a while to understand how to get value from the service, but it is now one of my favorite sources of curated news. It is real-time, easy to check, and filled with really smart people writing and sharing compelling content on just about any subject.
Whether you are already active on Twitter or interested in signing up for the first time, if you have an interest in learning more about contact centers and staying abreast of the latest news, advice, and trends, I’ve compiled a handy ‘starter list’ of contact center-related Twitter feeds for you to follow.
Some of the Best Contact Center Twitter Accounts
Individuals
Justin Robbins – Justin knows his way around contact centers and brings a smart perspective to the areas of customer service and leadership. Whether he’s sharing choice quotes from recent conferences or posting hosting a chat for his employer, Justin does a great job or sharing actionable information.
Nate Brown – Nate is a frequent speaker in the contact center industry and maintains a very active account where he posts daily about both strategic and tactical issues that will be of interest to contact center operators. From book recommendations to responding to ICMI chat questions (see Bonus Tips below), Nate gives a fresh and fun perspective on a wide range of topics as well as injecting enough of his own personality to make him really relatable.
Shep Hyken – Hyken is a successful author, keynote speaker, and consultant to companies looking to improve their customer service. He does a lot of work with contact centers, as you’d imagine, and shares frequent tweets on a variety of topics relevant to contact center operators.
Companies
ICMI – Focused on “contact center excellence”, ICMI is a large event producer and content writer for the contact center market. Their team of writers keeps the feed full of links to helpful articles featuring good advice and tips that many will find of value.
Call Center Week – This is the Twitter account for one of the premier event organizers for contact center professionals. Of course, they do a fair amount of promoting of their conferences, but there is enough other information shared in other tweets, that this feed makes our cut.
Contact Center Blog – A companion feed to a Canadian-based blog, they don’t post a lot of original content, but do a nice job of aggregating and sharing links and stories from other sources. For an easy way to add some variety to your feed, this is a good choice.
Extra Pick
Groove – Okay, we’re cheating a bit on this one since it isn’t specifically focused on contact centers. Groove is a customer support software company, but they write two outstanding blogs that are among the best examples of content marketing in action anywhere on the web. One blog focuses on the company’s experience (warts and all) in growing from no revenue to around $5 million today. The other blog deals exclusively with customer service and is the reason we’ve included it on this list. The Twitter feed contains regular links to the blog posts as well as other interesting content.
Bonus Tips: A common hashtag on Twitter is #cctr. Try doing a search using this term on the site to uncover the latest tweets related to call centers. Also, ICMI does regular online chats under the hashtag #ICMIchat, which is another great search term where you can follow a real-time session or scroll through past Q&As.
I’m sure I’ve missed any number of other great accounts, so if you know of some, feel free to share them in the comments. Let’s all get better together by sharing whatever resources are on your own ‘go to’ list of online content producers with the rest of us – Twitter and otherwise!
